Google now knows what’s the \u201cBest\u201d and \u201cCheapest\u201d option available to you, when you do a Google search for a restaurant in your vicinity? Well, it’s true. Google has recently added support for \u201cSearch Autofilters\u201d in its Search Ranking Algorithm that takes into consideration phrases such as \u201cBest\u201d and \u201cCheapest\u201d before revealing information related to \u201cLocal Restaurant Searches\u201d.<\/p>\n

The newly added \u201cSearch Autofilters\u201d were first spotted by Mike Blumenthal<\/a>, who observed the ranking pattern while doing a Google Search for a nearby restaurant. He discovered that the \u201cBest Restaurant Nearby\u201d searches brought back a list of only four star rated restaurants, while the \u201cCheap Restaurant Nearby\u201d searches brought back listings of restaurants with the one dollar sign.<\/p>\n

Besides that, Google’s nearby restaurant searches are now showing results based on specific words and phrases like good, best, cheap, good cheap, best cheap, etc. For instance, doing a Google search on \u201cBest Restaurant NYC\u201d returns a four-star listing, while a combination of the two modifier words leads to a more entertaining search discovery, as seen here.\"best-cheap-restaurant-nyc-google\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prior to this, Google had made life a bit easier with \u201cnear me\u201d searchers<\/a>. The addition of support for \u201cbest\u201d and \u201ccheapest\u201d terms only adds to the quality of user experience.<\/p>\n
