The latest to join the list of casualties is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/ncr\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.google.com\/ncr<\/a>, which was designed to filter out searchers as per their residential status.<\/p>\n<p>So if you&#8217;re a non-US searcher but have been holidaying in the country from past several months, then Google will redirect you to your own country-specific version of Google. But this particular search functionality hasn&#8217;t been working from past few weeks. Many online searchers were found to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seroundtable.com\/google-no-country-redirect-ncr-not-working-for-some-21373.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">complaining<\/a> about the sudden fall-out of this feature.<\/p>\n<p>Google seems to be in two minds over its No Country Redirect feature and even John Mueller hasn&#8217;t come out with any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seroundtable.com\/google-google-com-ncr-no-country-redirect-should-be-coming-back-21394.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">explanation<\/a> about the same. Like many of us, he is quite unsure whether the feature will make a comeback or not. Through his recent <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JohnMu\/status\/681410793397727232\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tweet<\/a> he revealed, <em>\u201cI suspect it\u2019ll be back.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This means that either the search giant no longer wishes to include this feature in future searches or that it&#8217;s currently trying to fix the bug and it will take some time to get re-inducted as part of its search functionality.<\/p>\n<p>And just like it did with the<a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/google-drops-change-location-search-filter-from-search-results-237247\" rel=\"nofollow\"> location search filter option<\/a>, Google is going to make it <a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/google-harder-to-reach-outside-us-215845\" rel=\"nofollow\">harder<\/a> for Non-national searchers to find results other than their local ones.<\/p>\n<p>However, Google did mention sometime back that it removed the feature because it was hardly used by online searchers.<\/p>\n<p>But with <strong>\/ncr<\/strong> feature down, many people are wondering whether it was due to Google&#8217;s recent change in policy or something else of that sort.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s still not clear whether Google will be back with the \/ncr feature or not.
